Josh & Elisha's wedding was best described as a whirlwind of emotions, from tears to fits of laughter and so many moments in between. With immense gratitude I travelled down to Mt. Mee in the Moreton Bay Hinterland to capture the second round of celebrations for these two beautiful souls after they had a small ceremony last year. It's so beautiful to see not only the love you have for each other, but the family and friends you have supporting you wholeheartedly behind the scenes. There aren't many couples who can say they went adventuring caving in their wedding attire, making Saturday undoubtedly a day to remember! I lugged about 10kg of camera gear as we squeezed through the caves, taking photos along the way and then climbed the side of the mountain for sunset. Not knowing what we were going to find outside, I was ecstatic to see even the clouds were matched to Sam & Wade's colour scheme. You're going to want to keep an eye out for more from this day, it was amazing start to finish and even earned me the nickname Madelyn 'Mountain Goat' Holmes for my climbing efforts! The Valentines wanted moody and romantic with a hint of Disney fairtytale for their wedding photography, so that's exactly what we did! Congratulations Ange & Lee, I'd been looking forward to your day for SO long and your photos are proof that two brides are better than one! ;) After getting ready in an oceanside hotel, we headed to Kananga Heights on the outskirts of Yeppoon for their ceremony followed by an afternoon cake cutting. While their guests ate and mingled on the lawn, we ventured to Byfield for wedding portraits before returning for an evening reception under the festoon lights. Two years to the day since I had the honour of photographing their sunrise beach proposal/engagement session, I also had the privilege of capturing Max & Alee's wedding. I arrived to blue skies and less than two hours later more thunderstorms rolled through meaning a quick change of plans - luckily the rain stopped after the ceremony and we were given a dreamy pastel sunset reminiscent of their proposal morning. A relaxed reception followed with grazing tables, all-you-can-eat pizza and a donut tower in lieu of a traditional sit down meal – then as a final surprise for their guests, they arranged fireworks to coincide with their first dance. We took a gamble with the weather (that luckily paid off!) and I met up with the Clarke crew who were gifted a family session by Prue's lovely girlfriends. They don't come much more photogenic than these three and I just loved Adelyn's outfit too.
