Phoebe definitely left a little sparkle wherever she went at her formal! I had a blast capturing this gorgeous young lady with her graduation partner Alain (and how cool is that 1929 Ford Model A?!).

The SmartHub is a co-working space located in the heritage-listed customs house on Rockhampton's iconic Quay Street. Created as an initiative of Rockhampton Regional Council, the hub is home to a thriving community of people with a drive for business - focusing on providing opportunities for networking, support and education. After reaching out with a need for updated content to use on their website, social media platforms and marketing material I helped to style, plan and coordinate this shoot for the SmartHub over several days of shooting. The brief was to create bright, energetic images which reflected the vibrant and diverse business community of the SmartHub. Photography locations included the co-working spaces, offices for hire, networking functions and the nearby riverbank precinct. This shoot is proof that careful planning pays off - everything from the outfits, stationery, lighting and office plants were considered to make sure that the end results looked exactly how we wanted. I suppose it's only fair when I learn all about you to capture your wedding, family or special occasion that you get the opportunity to know a little about me too! My name is Madelyn (or Maddy for short) - I’m a photographer, graphic designer and adventure-lover based in Central Queensland. After school I completed a Bachelor of Digital Media with Distinction and branched out into graphic design, but ultimately decided to pursue my passion in photography. Now I've captured over 120 weddings across Queensland and internationally - 15 year old me wouldn't have believed it! Whilst I work mainly in portrait photography, I also have a great passion for the outdoors – spending my spare time SCUBA diving, 4WDing and camping (usually with a camera in hand!). My pride and joy is my 2012 Land Rover Defender 90 that takes me everywhere from work, to weekend 4WD adventures and longer road trips across our beautiful country. It was our third attempt to line up dates for Mark and Em's engagement shoot (with their pup Leo), but I think it was meant to be as Yeppoon really showed its best side - look how calm that water was! P.S. You might recognise @_markfitz as an incredible fellow photographer and creator for Queensland Tourism, it was such an honour to have him on the other side of the lens with Em - no pressure!

Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Clarence as proof that your wedding photos can still be beautiful in the rain! We were dreaming of the Glasshouse Mountain views that Maleny is so well known for, but the weather had other ideas for Sophie & Josh's low key destination elopement in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland last week. The wet weather did give me the opportunity to finally experiment with off camera flash, so I sure hope it made braving the rain for their wedding photos worthwhile! What do you think? Josh & Elisha's wedding was best described as a whirlwind of emotions, from tears to fits of laughter and so many moments in between. With immense gratitude I travelled down to Mt. Mee in the Moreton Bay Hinterland to capture the second round of celebrations for these two beautiful souls after they had a small ceremony last year. It's so beautiful to see not only the love you have for each other, but the family and friends you have supporting you wholeheartedly behind the scenes. One of my favourite moments from their day was doing a first shot in lieu of a first dance - make sure to scroll to the end to see that one! As a past photographer herself, I was nervous & excited to be photographing Bec with her husband Honey - turns out she was feeling the same about being in front of the camera! Not that you can tell from the photos of course.

After 9 years together, these two are finally tying the knot in September - I can't wait to capture the celebrations!

There aren't many couples who can say they went adventuring caving in their wedding attire, making Saturday undoubtedly a day to remember! I lugged about 10kg of camera gear as we squeezed through the caves, taking photos along the way and then climbed the side of the mountain for sunset. Not knowing what we were going to find outside, I was ecstatic to see even the clouds were matched to Sam & Wade's colour scheme. You're going to want to keep an eye out for more from this day, it was amazing start to finish and even earned me the nickname Madelyn 'Mountain Goat' Holmes for my climbing efforts!
