Family sessions are an annual tradition for many clients, but also perfect for first-timers or those overdue for an update. I guide you through the process, capturing genuine connection, laughter and the little moments.
Extended family sessions
Having everyone in one place is an occasion worth documenting. Extended family sessions capture large groups in one session, allowing a mix of generational, group and individual images to treasure.
Childrens sessions
Children’s sessions are all about personality and play. Whether it’s a milestone birthday, siblings together, or just to freeze this moment in time, I'll capture them as they are right now.
Family FAQ
What time of day is best for family photos?
Late afternoon light is usually the most flattering for outdoor sessions. I’ll recommend a start time based on your chosen location and booking date to help create soft, natural looking images.
We've never had photos taken, will you help us pose?
Of course, most of my clients feel this way. I'll help direct you into poses so you feel comfortable and look your best - no experience needed!
What if my children don't cooperate?
Some days children just aren't keen to be photographed, and that's normal. I have lots of prompts and posing ideas to keep the session fun for little ones. It can also be helpful to bring along some snacks and toys to keep young kids interested.
Can we include our pets or animals?
Yes, if I can give them pats! Pets are family too, so I'm more than happy to include them in your photos – just let me know and we can choose an animal-friendly location. Don't forget to bring some treats for them too.
